SIP306C Phased-Locked Loop and Synthesizer Circuits

This course features the study of a variety of circuits involving Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) Integrated Circuits. Different modes of operation are stressed. Crystal-controlled oscillators with dividers are demonstrated. The course demonstrates the use of PLL in oscillator and detector circuits, dividers, frequency controlling of circuits, digital frequency selection, RF transmitters and detector circuits. A variety of filters, as applied to PLL, are also included. The course provides for approximately 40 hrs. instruction.
