SIC315C Linear Integrated Circuit Applications
General and Biomedical Instrumentation

The course consists of laboratory experiments relating to basic biomedical circuits. The course is arranged in three major parts:

  1. A review of operational amplifiers
Consists of the first seven experiments from SIC310C.

  2. General instrumentation circuits
Consists of a variety of special circuits, including integrators, differentiators, transducer   circuits, and time delay relay circuits.

  3. Biomedical instrumentation circuits
Contains special basic medical circuits used in monitoring equipment such as EKG, EEG, and EMG. Basic pacemaker circuits and temperature, respiratory, and skin resistance measuring circuits are also included.

The course provides for approximately 75 hours of instruction. Instrumentation Transducers (SIP380) can be offered in conjunction with this course.
