SPECIFICATIONS
SIP325AC The course focuses on the theory, application, and techniques used in troubleshooting basic power supplies as encountered in commercial, industrial, and consumer products. The student is taught how the circuits operate, how to evaluate their performance, and how to troubleshoot such circuits using test equipment. Malfunction switches are included in appropriate places to demonstrate typical troubles. The Panel is made reversible so that the student performs troubleshooting from the printed circuit side of the panel. Test points go through the panel, thus providing contact for test equipment. Black covers are provided over the DIP switches, which supply the malfunctions. The Panel, measuring 8.5 x 14 inches, is divided into sections, with each section including a different type of power supply circuit. The power for all of the circuits is derived by means of a switching convertor, operating from a 5 VDC supply. Switches are included enabling any one of the regulators to be attached to either a bridge rectifier or a voltage doubler circuit. The course provides for approximately 40 hours of instruction. EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS The panel is divided into the following main sections:
A separate solid-state load (SIP325L) is included. The load METER provides two current ranges: (0.5 and 1 Amp). Alligator cables are provided for attachment to the various circuits. The instrument has connectors for an oscilloscope and voltmeter. A comprehensive Laboratory Manual is included. REQUIRED EXTRA
