SIP350AC AM/DSB Transmitter

The transmitter insertion panel, along with its companion manual, provides instruction in the basic principles of Amplitude Modulation (AM). The panel contains an RF oscillator, modulator, RF amplifier, audio amplifier, microphone input, and whip antenna. Two controls provide for audio level control of modulation, with a separate control for carrier suppression. The AM modulated signal or the signal with carrier suppression can be observed. The basic concepts of single-sideband transmission are demonstrated by showing how the carrier is suppressed. The panel can be used in conjunction with the AM receiver (SIP327BC). The course provides for 40 hours of instruction.
