SPECIFICATIONS

SIP353C AM/CW/SSB Transmitter

The Transmitter radiates a modulated signal on either 3.5 or 4 MHz. The radiated signal can be modulated by 5 KHz tone, 750 and 1800 Hz audio tones. The transmitter can also be voice modulated from a panel-mounted microphone. All tone oscillators are controlled by crystal-controlled synthesized circuitry. Filters are provided to eliminate either upper or lower sidebands. A spectrum analyzer is built into the panel and enables the user to observe the carrier with upper and lower side bands. Switches and controls are provided for suppressing the carrier and filtering out either the upper or lower side band. The panel can be used in conjunction with the single-sideband receiver (SIP329BC). The course provides for approximately 69 hours of instruction.

EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS

bullet

Transmitter with less than 60 mW of DC power into the final amplifier; provides for SSB/DSB for AM modulation.

bullet

Operates on two frequencies, 3.57 and 4 MHz, with variable carrier suppression.

bullet

Transmitter frequency is crystal stabilized.

bullet

Filters provide for selection of upper or lower sideband.

bullet

Utilizes phase-locked loop and crystal-controlled synthesizer circuits for stabilizing oscillator circuits.

bullet

Built-in Sweep Generator enables the user to use the transmitter as an RF Generator.

bullet

Panel measures approximately 8.5 x14 inches, with painted front panel and green mask on reverse side. The panel is sectionalized by individual circuits.

bullet

There are 31 test points.

bullet

Gold plated contacts to power supply.

bullet

A Comprehensive Manual (SIP350M) is provided. It combines the SIP350AC and SIP353C courses.
