355C FM TransmitterThis study, covering the monaural FM Radio Transmitter, places emphasis on the basic principles of producing frequency modulation. A reactance type modulator is used for deviating the RF oscillator. A varicap is made to deviate in capacity by either a DC voltage or audio signal. The frequency deviation is measured by a built-in deviation meter after frequency multiplication. The Panel includes a built-in deviation monitor circuit. Narrow-band FM modulation is provided. The course provides for approximately 40 hours of instruction.
