DOPPLER RADAR
The course
describes how Doppler Microwave Transmitter and Receiver Systems are used
in burglar alarm systems (Intrusion Detector) and in measuring the
velocity of moving objects. The basic principles of Doppler Radar, when
combined with Pulse Radar, provide the student with a basic understanding
of Moving Target Indicators (MTI). The Doppler System, in general, is used
to measure the velocity of moving objects. A target simulator simulates
vehicles moving up to 1,600 miles per hour (2,560 Km/hr)The course
provides for approximately 25-40 hours of instruction.
