Introduction to Core Courses:
Basic Components and Wiring
SIC301 - SIC303 - SIC310 - SIC312 - SIC315C

SCOPE OF THE STUDY
A series of courses, all starting with the letters "SIC", are available in kit form for teaching students how to design, test, and evaluate hand-wired circuits. Each course is separately packaged; however, some courses are available as add-on courses.

Each course consists of a Laboratory Manual with an associated box of components. A wire jumper kit, S300-9, is required to connect the various components together. The Master Builder, S300B, or Breadboard Extender, S300-E, can be used for constructing the various circuits. The S300-E is used in conjunction with a Power Supply Base, S300PSB.

The Components Kit consists of the majority of the parts needed for circuit construction. Some required potentiometers are included in the Master Builder, and may be required when using the S300-E. Other special components, such as electric lamps, step-down transformers, and special connectors, may be available in the testing laboratory supply.

The Components Courses are based on lab manuals and instructor's guides published by the McGraw-Hill Company. One Instructor's Guide per class must be ordered.
