WHAT IS REHABILITATION?
Video
Activities of daily living (ADLs) are those things we do
daily in order to remain independent and to function in society. Individuals with a

and social function that is attainable for that individual. The rehabilitation team
works with each client to promote independence. The assistant is often the caregiver
who spends the most time with this client.
The elderly adapt to change and loss, which is a common task in this stage of development. Some adults will likely need to be cared for in a facility due to their illness.
