SIP327BC
AM Transistorized Radio

SCOPE OF THE STUDY

This insertion panel with eight fault switches is used for teaching diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques, as well as proper alignment procedures for standard commercial and telecommunications solid-state receivers. Trimmer capacitors are provided for IF alignment.

A well-written, comprehensive manual provides background theory, circuit description of each section, testing procedures, and effective methods to be used in troubleshooting. The receiver operates on 9-12 VDC which is provided by the Master Builder (S300B) or the Power Supply Base (S300PSB).

An audio power amplifier and loudspeaker are also available in the Master Builder. The receiver panel contains an audio gain control. Test points, marked TP, are provided at appropriate locations for test instruments. When used with the Master Builder, the student learns how to diagnose the typical problems found in AM radio receivers easily and quickly.
